⚡️ Pulse Check: How Do You Guide?
If you’re in business or doing any kind of work that involves another person, you’re probably a guide in some way, shape, or form.
Some people lead from the front. Clearing the path ahead, fast pace, lots of confidence. Others guide from the side. Quietly encouraging, holding space, and letting others find their footing.
Part of my own ReadyType blend is the Lover archetype, and she’s a constant reminder that I thrive when I'm guiding intimately. I’m my best self and doing my best work when I can have 1:1 conversations. Where I can hear your words, ask the real questions, and help you move through surface-level thinking into something deeper and clearer.
When I stay anchored to this bit of self-knowledge, things flow easily. And because I’m human, and easily marketed to (hello, Human Design Reflector), I sometimes fall into the trap of thinking I should create something more passive or one-to-many. Every time, it falls flat. The work feels soulless, the result isn’t satisfying, and honestly, I just miss interacting with my people.

- We officially launched The Eastman House website and Katie Gilbert’s brand and site. Both projects were true labors of love with such amazing clients.
- I’ve been guiding a group of 12 women through The Artist’s Way and we’re officially over halfway. I'm finding the real magic isn’t the book but in the wonderful conversations and community that have formed.
- My wife and I just got back from our anniversary trip to Texas. So many chips and dips were had. We biked, visited the Alamo, sampled Texas wine, and met the kindest people. My Latin-food-loving heart was very happy.
